Michael A. McCauley

Michael founded McCauley & Associates in 2007 to provide audit, tax, advisory, and corporate finance services for individuals and corporations. Three years later, Michael became an ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation), and added forensic, valuation, litigation, and M&A services to the firm’s client offerings. 

With every type of offering, Michael has ensured a premium is placed on client service, including clear communication from us every time we interact with you, and the guarantee of easy access every time you want to reach out to the firm’s knowledgeable personnel. 

Before founding McCauley & Associates, Michael’s extensive experience included serving as the Controller of a major New York City construction firm with approximately 500 employees and $70 million in annual sales, and serving as a Senior Accountant & Auditor for a major New York/New Jersey CPA firm and a global Fortune 100 corporation.

Michael received his B.S. in Accounting from Lehigh University.

Michael J. Bavaro

Michael began his public accounting career in 1980 and has been in public practice ever since. He was initially affiliated with a local accounting firm in New Jersey before joining Price Waterhouse in the mid-1980’s in the firm’s Hackensack, New Jersey and New York City offices.  

Michael continued his career as a founding member of Pagano Connolly & Bavaro P.C., a New Jersey-based public accounting firm that specialized in tax, audit, and consulting services for  small- to middle market companies and offered  individual tax consulting, planning, and preparation services throughout New Jersey and the New York Metropolitan area.

In the late 1990s, Michael co-founded Schreck Bavaro & Company LLC, which later became Bavaro & Company LLC, similarly focused on tax, audit, and consulting services for SMBs and individuals in New Jersey. In this role, Michael gained valuable experience in the intricacies and regulations of the health care industry.

Michael earned his B.A. in Accounting from Lycoming College. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Elizabeth M. Nargiso

Managing Member

Elizabeth is an accomplished accounting professional whose many skills include general accounting, audit & review attestation, individual and corporate income tax preparation and planning, trust and estate planning, payroll and payroll tax services, and bookkeeping.

In addition, Elizabeth is a valued contributor to the firm’s forensic investigation practice and, on the technology side, to our accounting and information systems development & deployment. She also assists clients with the hiring and training of temporary CFOs/Controllers.

Prior to joining McCauley & Associates, Elizabeth held positions at Ernst & Young, where she oversaw the financial reporting function of clients/affiliates with sales ranging from $20 million to $150 million. She also honed her skills in the development & implementation of accounting and information systems, giving her the crucial systems experience she has brought to McCauley & Associates.

Elizabeth received her B.S. in Accounting from Rutgers University.

Isabel Artale

Certified Public Accountant
  • Licensed by the State of New Jersey


Licensed by the State of New Jersey, Isabel is an accomplished accounting professional whose many skills include general accounting, financial statement analysis, and treasury support functions.

Prior to joining McCauley, Bavaro & Co., Isabel held positions at Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG), where she worked with Accounting, Finance and Treasury Departments of subsidiaries and affiliates. At PSEG, Isabel analyzed internal controls and made management-level recommendations on reporting and special projects. 

Isabel began her career as a Senior Accountant at CIT, a division of Citizens Bank, and further honed her forecasting and budgeting skills at Univision Television Network. In her role as a liaison with the controller of Miami operations, Isabel developed the communication, collaboration, and project management skills and experience that she brings to her clients at McCauley, Bavaro & Co.   

Isabel earned her B.S. in Business Administration from Montclair University.

Deborah Berry 

Certified Public Accountant
  • Licensed by the State of New Jersey


Deborah began her public accounting career in 1986 as a staff accountant for David Lemansky & Co., a public accounting firm in Warren, New Jersey.  There, she performed tax, audit, and consulting services for individuals and small- to middle-market companies. When the firm was acquired by Pagano, Connolly & Bavaro, PC in 1991, Deborah stayed on and played a pivotal part in transitioning clients to the new firm.

Deborah has been with Schreck, Bavaro & Company as a managing accountant since the late 1990s.  In this capacity, Deborah performs tax, audit, and consulting services for small- to middle-market companies with an emphasis on the Health Care Industry, and she is also responsible for the training and review of other staff members.  

Deborah earned a B.A. in Accounting from Rutgers University, and she has been a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants since 1992.

Carrie Celentano

Manager


As Office Manager, Carrie is responsible for the organization and distribution of documents for preparation of Tax Returns for all business and personal clients. She also manages bookkeeping and payroll services for multiple clients and oversees day to day office duties including purchasing, billing and payroll. 

Prior to joining McCauley & Associates, she has held management positions with LifeChem Laboratories and Shared Technologies.

Carrie graduated State University of New York at New Paltz and earned Master of Science in Accounting (M.S.A.C.)from Seton Hall University Stillman School of Business

Jennifer Edwards

Manager


As Office Manager, Jennifer is an integral facilitator of the firm’s processes. She is responsible for the distribution of all documents required for the preparation of all tax returns for both individuals and business client, and she leads the preparation and reporting of all client 1099 filings. Jennifer also manages bookkeeping services and aids clients in the completion of their annual tax returns. In addition, she oversees daily office management and aids in the efficient and timely workflow of operations for the Princeton office. 

Prior to joining McCauley, Bavaro & Co., Jennifer worked with New Jersey hospitals to model the impact of federal and state regulations on related entities’ profitability.   

Jennifer earned a B.S. in Economics from Rutgers University, Cook College.
